Seeing and Experiencing Vancouver for the First Time

As many of you would have seen, Julio and I recently shared that we would be heading to Vancouver for our fifth wedding anniversary – click here to read about why we feel safe in doing so.

Having had the pleasure of traveling to the west coast a few times already for the blog, I’ve had my magical mountains and Pacific ocean moments and I cherish them. That being said, with four days to fill, I thought I’d share with you what seeing and experiencing Vancouver for the first time is going to be like for Julio.

Taking Control of The Direction I am Heading

As a year that none of us will ever forget comes to a close, I am reminding myself of things that are important and that which I can control. Yes, there has been challenge and change, but along with those lessons there has also been triumph and a certain amount of refocus. So as many may be setting resolutions, I am taking control of the direction I and my life are heading in more ways than one.

Looking Back on 2020

It feels as though I’ve been getting ready for the end of this year since it started. Yes, as I have continued to affirm both here and on social media, there is a lot to be grateful for in 2020.

But, let’s be honest…. sometimes I think I’m saying it over and over to convince myself on those days where I sit staring at a computer screen with nothing to say. It’s been a year of impatiently waiting silently for my creative spirit to come back. And when she didn’t, I had to start improvising and fast.

An Exceptional Experience to end an Exceptional Year

How do you end the year that 2020 became? I am aware of the blessings I have had and the good times I have enjoyed – but it has definitely not been the year I expected. Many of us in our day-to-day have had to pivot, adapt, conserve and find joy in what we have. The holidays have become this beautiful beacon in my life and NYE is something I am really looking forward to with the best experience I can think of to enjoy at home.
