I don’t often talk about my childhood because it’s challenging. My parents had me when they were 20 years old and the thought of having a 19 year old right now if I was in their shoes is pretty daunting. We struggled financially, and for the most part my parents shielded us from knowing. I lived a very happy childhood and all things considered I think back on those years fondly.

That being said, my mom has shared me over the years that times were really tough and sometimes we had to rely on the food bank to keep my brother and I fed.

A Glowup So Impressive, You Have to See it To Believe it

As many of you know, I travel to Toronto often for work and to see close friends that I have made over the last 9+ years that I have been blogging. When I can, I need to rest my head in a beautiful hotel that is conveniently located in the city. Well, if I had to pick there’s not one hotel more convenient or known in the downtown core like Sheraton Centre Toronto. Recently the hotel celebrated its 50th anniversary and the completed of a multi-million, multi-year renovation that you absolutely have to see in person to take in all that beautiful grandiosity.

The Stars Aligned For This One

We all know that by default I’ll usually enjoy a glass of Rosé at any time of year, but especially in the summer months. Some of you also know that I am inching towards 40 years old next year and therefore grew up in the 80s and 90s, which in my opinion, are the best years of all musicly. SO…. When I found out that when a king of 90s music has teamed up with a king of the wine world (that I’ve shared about before) to release a bottle of Rosé my heart was aflutter and I had to tell you all about it!

A New Lunch Favourite For The Busy Person on The Go

I am of course always one to practice slowing down to enjoy things a little more, but the fact remains a lot of us during the day are running around and don’t have much time. I know that work takes me to and from a computer, family obligations, cleaning and before I know it I’ve usually forgotten to make myself lunch. Well, thankfully there’s a few new menu items available just around the corner at my local Tim Hortons and I couldn’t be more excited to try them. Let me tell you why!
