Events | Canada’s National Ballet School’s An Affair to Remember

One of the most beautiful experiences I can think of is attending the ballet. Be it the beautiful movement or the powerful story, it truly is an experience that is like no other. Friday March 6th will bring together Canada’s National Ballet School for their An Affair to Remember Gala “celebrating fifty-five years of passionate and enduring dedication to professional ballet training in Canada and internationally.”

In the iconic event space of The Carlu, ballet dancers and ballet lovers will come together in support of the school and the incredible accomplishments of Canadian Ballet.

“NBS prides itself that talent is the sole criterion for entry to the School, and we look forward to raising the ‘barre’ with another exceptional performance by the skillfully trained and gifted students of the Professional Ballet Program. The performance will be held on the historic stage of The Carlu’s Concert Hall; the same stage that once presented the first performance by The National Ballet of Canada.”

What to wear to the ballet event of the season?

“The 1950’s were the golden years of haute couture, and very few could do it better than Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. From the fitted suits and hats, to the floor length gowns, fashion was in excess! So, gather your most dramatic and luxurious black tie ensemble – complete with fur trim and costume jewelry, of course – and make your grand entrance on March 6th.”

With a dinner, luxury raffle draw and the who’s who of Toronto, the evening is sure to be one that is talked about for months to come.
