Events | Soho House Toronto House Tea Pride kick-off party

Well unless you’re living under a rock, you have noticed that World Pride has gripped Toronto and the country. Festivities are taking place all over the city and the amount of tourists visiting Toronto and Canada for the first time is amazing. I am left smiling every single day as I watch the kindness of strangers and the feeling of love and acceptance grip the hustling metropolis I live in. Last Sunday, Julio & I had a chance to attend the Soho House Toronto House Tea Pride kick-off party and we had such a good time I had to tell you about it!

Soho House Toronto, located at 192 Adelaide St. W. is a members only club with sister clubs located around the world. In its iconic style and legendary events, the space is known to be the place to be. So it came as no shock that a World Pride Toronto event to launch the week’s festivities took place at this Toronto hotspot.

“Soho House Toronto has set up a permanent home in a 10,000 square-foot space on Bishops Block (192 Adelaide St. W.) inhabiting a building dating back to the 1800s. The building, which was originally one of Toronto’s first ever hotels, has been carefully restored brick by brick, to fit in with Soho House’s relaxed style.”

Alongside Grey Goose cocktails and trend setters in and outside of the LGBT world, DJ sets by Phil V (Fit, Big Primpin’), Kris Steeves (Fit, Her) and Aural (Pop Machine) made the night into one big party. Julio & I certainly loved the evening and enjoyed ourselves as we kicked off one of the biggest events Toronto has ever hosted.  Take a look at some of the official photography from the evening below to see what I mean.
