Food & Wine | Byblos brings the Mediterranean to Toronto

Do you ever get a craving for authentic cuisine but are left disappointed with the North American interpretation? Don’t get me wrong, I love inspired dishes and fusion takes on the classics. But sometimes I want an authentic experience that transports me to destinations around the world in the first bite, with decor that takes me away without leaving my area code. If you’re like me, then you’ll fall in love with latest Mediterranean restaurant in Toronto, Byblos.

Born of the Icon Legacy HospitalityInk Entertainment family, you can rest assured that no detail was too small to perfect before the launch of this new endeavour. INK Entertainment CEO Charles Khabouth. “Byblos will stimulate and heighten the senses with every aspect of the concept; from the freshly foreign menu selections, to the cocktails and the musical programming.”

Located in the iconic STORYS building, this space is already generating a substantial buzz as an Entertainment District hot spot. With Executive Chef Stuart Cameron, STORYS building House Alchemist Wes Galloway, and a power house of some of the best restaurateurs behind them, Byblos is sure to be a signature restaurant in the city of Toronto in no time.

“We take great inspiration from the different culinary regions we explore; immersing ourselves entirely, sourcing the finest and the most humble ingredients that truly represent the cuisine,” says Icon Legacy CEO Hanif Harji.

I was lucky enough to join along in the recent #ByblosTO media preview with Byblos Toronto and look forward to the possibility of bringing a Daniel’s Dish feature to this beautiful new space in the coming months. I recommend that you all make a reservation and head down to enjoy some of the most authentic Mediterranean dishes I have tried in Toronto.
