Did you know that October 14th is #WorldEggDay? The Egg Farmers of Canada are helping Canadians celebrate this delicious day and I have been secretly working with them on an exciting project to coincide with the celebrations. Eggs are not only a good source of nutrition, but in Canada with the help of Egg Farmers of Canada, are also supporting deserving communities and charities. Come see what I mean and how you can get cracking on a delicious #WorldEggDay of your own!
Did you know that when it comes to nutrition and versatility, eggs are a perfect food. Canadian egg farmers work hard to produce high-quality eggs, and give back to their communities by volunteering, fundraising and donating eggs.
- Across Canada and around the world, egg farmers collectively support close to 200 community programs, causes, charities and events.
- Canadian egg farmers donate more than three million eggs each year to community food banks, school breakfast programs and charitable organizations, helping more people benefit from the essential protein and nutrients in eggs.
- Through international partnerships, Canadian egg farmers are making an important difference in vulnerable people’s lives. Through Egg Farmers of Canada’s partnership with Heart for Africa, 74,000 hand-packed meals are delivered each month (or 888,000 meals a year) to families in rural Swaziland.
It should come as no shock that the whole DoTheDaniel.com team loves eggs around the world – so you know we will all be celebrating #WorldEggDay respectively and together where we can!
