Food & Wine | Walter brings a Serious Caesar to Your Table

Maybe it’s the French Canadian heritage on my father’s side, or maybe it’s my love the hybrid meal of brunch, but in my opinion there is nothing quite as satisfying as a Bloody Caesar. For most of us, the Mott’s Clamato version is the most popular and most commonly used in the restaurant industry. It’s easy, and it’s good. But is it the best out there?

“Meet Walter. A thicker, better tasting premium Caesar mix. We think you’ll agree.”

Walter All-Natural Craft Caesar Mix is out to give Mott’s a run for their money. Canadian made and all natural, I was hooked from the first sip. “Proudly made with real ingredients. Things like vine-ripened tomatoes, grated horseradish, select spices & clam juice from the North Atlantic.” It immediately draws in me that sense of home-grown Canadian in its unique packaging and grass roots feeling. But how does it taste?

Available in two flavours, Mildly Spiced or Well Spiced, freshness is the first word that comes to mind when I open and smell the bottle.  There are no artificial preservatives, colours or flavours. In my opinion, this is the kind of product that can stand up to the mass production of its competitors. The age we live in is driven by the educated consumer and we all like to know what we are putting in or on our body. With Walter, what you see is what you get. And that is one of the best Caesars I have had in a very long time.

Walter is making his way across Canada one drink at a time. To check your local availability or order online, click here.

For a new twist on a classic Canadian cocktail, instead of vodka, why not try it with your favourite tequilla instead? The added kick and flavour of the tequilla will have you starting off your Sunday morning brunch in a whole new way. Of that I can promise you!
