Food & Wine | Diamond Estates Sipping in the Sun

For those of you who have followed my partnership with Diamond Estates, you know how much I have come to love them and bringing their wines to your laptop and smart phone screens. Alongside the ever growing DoTheDaniel.com audience, Diamond Estates has joined on board for yet another year of seasonal posts to feature, review and critique their latest & greatest. This season I bring you my Sipping in the Sun post with wines for those spring nights with a light sweater and summer days with SPF 50 needed. Although the seasons seems to be melting into one, these wines are sure to please any wine lover’s taste for any occasion, spring or summer.

Not all wine is created equal, and not all occasions call for the same type of wine. I offer you some quick tips and tricks in hopes that the next time you head to the LCBO or are in search of something unique to wow your taste buds that you take my advise. Health & Nutrition | Grandview Farms | Life is a Meat-venture!

As some of you may already know, I’m a musician and I have regular gigs around the GTA.  If you didn’t know this little tidbit, then I’ll let you pause for a moment to bask in the new levels of awesome I’ve just reached in your lives (relax, I’m being sarcastic).  In life, you just gotta do what you love and make it work within your schedule in order to stay true to who you really are.  Well, I LOVE music.  I live and breathe it on the regular.  But I also equally LOVE nutrition.  So when Daniel and I were asked to pay a visit to Grandview Farms on the day I had a gig booked out of town, I knew I had to do everything in my power to get there and make it happen.

Toronto | King Street West Boom & Portland Variety

I cannot possibly be the only one to notice lately all the great new expansions, businesses and shops opening up along the Toronto neighbourhood of King Street West. Be it a hot new celebrity restaurant to the greatest new night life destination WEST bar (stay tuned for my feature coming on them soon!) , this area west of the city core seems to be booming in all the right ways. Add to the excitement the chic new addition of Portland Variety and you’ve got a neighbourhood born again for all your city dwelling needs. Family Lifestyle | The Day My Butt Went Psycho!

Ok, so I can clearly remember when I was pregnant, thinking to myself that I would NOT let my child sit in front of the tv… ya.. that didn’t last. I have no shame in admitting that the tv is always on in my house. Sometimes it’s just background noise, and sometimes it’s being stared at intently, like when Big Big Friend, or Mike The Knight is on. I’ve come to love (and loathe, can anyone say Caillou?) some shows, and know that as Lyric gets older, the shows will evolve with him.
