Why You Should Invest in Quality Rest

For all of you that follow Do The Daniel on Instagram, you’ll know that for the past few months I have been really busy with prepping a move, moving and then furnishing my new apartment. I know this is something that almost all new tenants have to deal with but, when you’re moving into somewhere as stunning as Vintage apartments, you know it’ll all be worthwhile. Sure, it might be a tricky thing to get fully sorted but the final result will be so rewarding and you’ll be able to sit in a contemporary, luxurious apartment and appreciate just how far you’ve come. This has been quite the ordeal because I have always been someone who has lived in furnished or partially furnished places for years. It just makes everything easier when you don’t have to worry about sourcing furniture on top of the stresses that already come with moving house. It’s why I dream of living somewhere like these luxury apartments in downtown cleveland, as when I moved into my new apartment, I didn’t own a single piece of furniture. No couch. No dining room table. No dressers. No bed. No mattress. Nothing.

I was literally working with a blank canvas. Continue reading “Why You Should Invest in Quality Rest”

Changing The Way Things Are Framed

As of late you’ll realize that I have gone all kinds of introspective. Sometimes when life gives you a good shake and you need to put things back together, that can happen. But it also seems as though a lot of my friends are feeling this way too. I’m not 100% sure what happened to 2018 – the year we all said “would be different” – but it’s been a doozy. Ups and downs are always going to be a part of this beautiful chaos we call life, and sometimes I have to remind myself that I can only control my reaction to it all. Lately I have been trying my best to focus on the beautiful moments, people, and memories that have led me to where I am today. And I have been trying my very best to change the way I frame things.  Continue reading “Changing The Way Things Are Framed”

The World is Wide, Wonderful and Waiting

Travelling is one of my favourite things to do. When I don’t have a trip planned, I find myself daydreaming about far away places when I should be working. I come by my wanderlust honestly, as my grandmother loved nothing more in life (other than her family) then to travel. All we had to say was “I’d like to go to ____” and my grandmother would jump onto her computer, go to her favourites tab and pull up the aircanada.com site to look for flights. It was her go-to, hands-down.

Coming Out Of The Cannabis Closet

Well, I guess now is as good a time as ever to address the green elephant in the room. On October 17th, Cannabis will be legalized in Canada and it’s time we spoke about what that means. A not too dissimilar situation is occurring in Ohio. Although, it is only legal for an Ohio dispensary to provide marijuana for medicinal use. I like to think that over the years, with the help of our incredible Contributors and staff members, we’ve been able to dispel a lot of myths or preconceptions on some pretty controversial topics. Being that Cannabis is THE hot topic right now, I felt it important to address it as both a budding industry, coming to us coast-to-coast, but also as a conversation topic that we don’t need to be scared to talk about anymore. Some people have realized the health benefits of using cannabis substances such as CBD, and THC as well as trying their best to educate members of the public through places online as well as guides such as a guide to concentrates which looks at the different types of strains available and their effects and benefits. The age of vilified cannabis use is hopefully coming to an end, and thanks to the team at Emerald Health Therapeutics, I was recently able to educate myself properly on the subject matter. Now that I’ve had time to digest the information, I wanted to take the time to share this topic with all of you for the first time. October 17th is coming, whether you like it or not, so why wouldn’t we help to educate each other as best as we can? Continue reading “Coming Out Of The Cannabis Closet”
