For those of you who have followed us over the years, you’ll already know that Catherine & I met while living in Ottawa. We’ve been friends for almost twenty years and when we have the chance to visit Ottawa, it is always an amazing chance for us to revisit the city we both called home for so long. Put down the phone & pick up a book.

Did you know that April 23 marks #WorldBookDay? I didn’t. But that’s because I’m usually lost in social media on my phone, taking calls or answering emails. If you’re like me, that sounds pretty familiar. It’s why when Amazon asked me to come join them for their #LoveToRead event in Toronto, I quickly came to realize that I needed to disconnect in order to truly reconnect.
