2017: El Mejor Año de mi Vida (Hasta Ahora)

Hemos llegado al final de 2017 y es inevitable reflexionar acerca de lo vivido durante los últimos 12 meses. Tantas cosas pasan durante 365 días, que es imposible recordar todas a menos que se lleve un registro diario, algo que yo no acostumbro hacer. Además, desde que vivo en Playa del Carmen, el tiempo para mi no es algo que me mortifique; no acostumbro pensar que la vida se me está acabando aun cuando estoy consciente del inevitable avance del tiempo… pero no vivo pensando en qué es lo que “debería estar haciendo” o qué me falta por vivir. Prefiero vivir el momento, planear el siguiente paso sin estresarme, siempre consciente de la realidad y sin que implique un sacrificio difícil de sobrellevar, ¿me explico? Así me ha funcionado los últimos años y hoy disfruto del resultado, mismo que se refleja en un 2017 lleno de experiencia y momentos memorables, mismos que les comparto en este conteo de 6 Cosas que hicieron del 2017 el mejor año de mi vida, con un bono final que me dio una gran lección. In case you missed it, earlier this year I name Mexico City as our favourite destination of 2017. I am not someone who uses words like “best” or “favourite” lightly, so when I do, you can rest assured it means something. Over the last year, we have traveled to over 40 destinations with our partners around the world alongside the DoTheDaniel.com team. Oh, The Places You’ll Go!

Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is one of those books that means so much to me. I remember my mom giving it to me when I graduated from Carleton University. It was a touching gesture and still reminds me of that moment when I stood facing the possibilities that were ahead of me. I could never have known what the future held for me, but that book was a pretty good start. Flash forward ten years later, and here I am sharing my life with you all from a blog that I have turned into a career. Looking back on 2017, I have certainly seen many places and experienced many things with you all around the world.
