The Best Holiday & Advent Calendars of 2020

There is a lot happening in the world right now, and I know that many of us are more focused on the beauty of the holidays than we may have ever in the past. A season to be grateful, kind to one another, and full of happy memories. I know that I am so happy I put up my tree already – and to add to the holiday spirit for those of you looking for inspiration, I thought I would make a list of my favourite advent calendars of 2020. One (or more) of them is bound to be perfect for that special someone in your life, your BFF, your family or yourself.

PROUD ALLIES FOR ALL

With #PrideMonth in full force, I am going to be sharing a lot of #Pride content with you all over the next month. Both because I am proud of who I am as a gay man, but also to be a voice for my community and those communities often muted in the world for their differences.

I feel, now more than ever, it is important to remember that the first pride was a riot. That our community has taken a long time to get to where we are. And it is with partners and allies that we will continue to thrive and share our ability to be Proud. Rainbow washing happens a lot at this time of year – the idea of throwing a rainbow on a product to make a quick buck while not actually being an ally at all. So all I can say right now is educate yourself on the brand before giving them your dollars. Or come to trusted members of the LGTBQ+ and ask us. So, without further fuss, let’s talk about a brand that is and has always supported us and our ability to express who we are.
