You’ll remember that in early November, I told you about my favourite holiday memories and how they might surprise you. Shortly afterwards, I was lucky enough to be able to attend one of our favourite holiday events. Thanks to our friends at Nintendo Canada, we joined in on the #NintendoHoliday excitement here in Toronto and got to try all the highly anticipated new games. Turns out, I still love Pokémon and Mario Kart as much as I did years ago, and so now that my new Nintendo Switch is on the way, I wanted to share a bit more about what the holidays mean to me and why I love that I’m still a kid at heart at thirty-five. When I stop to think about the adventures that Julio & I have shared over the years, there are some amazing moments and experiences that always make me smile. As exciting as our travels and events around the world have been, some of my favourite moments spent together as a couple have been those we spend at home. I quickly came to realize that it was Julio’s love for Nintendo and Pokémon that made him so endearing when we first started to date. Looking back on our relationship, Nintendo has actually been a huge part of our lives. I guess that happens when you genuinely love something.
