Three Ways To Travel To Spain With Me This Year

As I sit down to realize it’s already August in one of the most memorable years of my life so far, I find myself remembering some of my travels and happiest moments around the world. While a lot of us safely explore our own cities, provinces, and Canada as a whole, there are a few places in the world that will forever hold a piece of my heart. One of them being Spain and the trip I took in 2007 after graduating from Carleton University.

Taleggio Caprese Salad

Happy Summer, friends! Don’t you just love love summer produce? Here in the UK, we miss out on the incredible bounty from Canada (oh Ontario peaches, how I long for you!) but are fortunate enough to have access to Spanish tomatoes. And the Spanish grow some incredible ones. They are such masters of growing tomatoes that they even have a food fight with them every August.

Though I hope you use yours to make this salad instead.

Travel & Lifestyle | An escape to Palma you won’t want to miss!

September in the UK is when the weather starts to turn. It starts getting dark early and its getting chilly. This is when most of the UK starts to look to extend the summer by heading off to Europe for one last ditch attempt at getting a tan. This is exactly what I did in late September of 2015, when I headed to Palma for a cheeky sunshine holiday. With September 2016 around the corner, my recent trip has me thinking I need to plan another trip ASAP!

Food & Wine | A How To Guide on food pairings with Estrella Damm

For those of you who follow along with our adventures on social media, you’ll have seen that I recently had the pleasure of attending an intimate lunch with Estrella Damm. During this gathering, I even took part in a photoshoot of Canadians enjoying this iconically Spanish beer. Over an incredible meal at Portland Variety here in Toronto, I quickly came to realize that food pairings can be enjoyed alongside a cleverly crafted beer.
