Someone Tell Santa

Can you believe that we are already half-way through December? Can you believe how close we are to Christmas? Every year just seems to go by faster and faster, so I  use the holidays as an excuse to slow down. Eggnog in one hand, eyes on my family, phone at the other end of the room whenever possible. It’s the perfect way to round out the year and to take time to be thankful.

It’s Never Too Early

Some of you may not be ready for the holidays to be upon us, but they are right around the corner and this year I couldn’t be more excited! While we still have a spooky Halloween to look forward to (this is the first year I get to hand out candy at the house and I couldn’t be more excited to see the kids) I recently received a package from Hudson’s Bay  and it made me realize that all my childhood dreams are coming true. Let’s see if we can’t bring you all along to these incredible destinations as we continue to explore the sights, sounds and flavours around the globe. Because, after all, to travel is to live they say.  Continue reading “My 2018 Travel Wishlist”

Thinking outside the box

As Julio & I continue our hunt for a new home, I have started to compile a list of things I would like to get us for the new space. Figuring out where to move is definitely a challenge since there are so many amazing properties out there. We even saw some amazing tiny homes, and you can check them out here, but we are definitely trying to find somewhere with a lot more room. From furniture for the added rooms (not yet a crib, but hopefully soon thereafter!) to appliances I never had the space for. Hopefully things like the windows will be fine, although we know we can get someone like grandjunctionwindow.com out to replace them, should we need or want to, but it’s definitely not something we’re planning to spend on. However, one of the items I will absolutely treat us to is a new television for our living room. Last year, our TV just stopped working, and we went through a long process of finding a suitable replacement, picking the right antenna, installing it in our living room… and then the replacement turned out to be less than great. While it wasn’t the best one on the market, I still thought it would be a better product than it turned out to be. So when we were introduced to the latest advancement in television technology and design earlier this year, I knew that I deserved the best on the market. Continue reading “Thinking outside the box”
