Valentine’s Day made easy with my go-to gifts

Valentine’s Day is one of those occasions where I like to spoil the people I love. Showing the love you have for someone through a gift can be difficult, but with so many options out there nowadays, it’s actually easier than ever before. Have you ever considered this 3D Photo Moon Lamp With Text & Photo that’s personalized to the two of you, or cooking your partner’s favourite meal? Whether you’re a last minute gift buyer, or someone who puts a little bit of planning into the romance of February 14th, I have gathered together some of my favourite gift ideas for those of you who live or are visiting Toronto this month. Take a look and get the inspiration you need to make this year the best Valentine’s Day yet!

1. Flowers

What is the one thing that comes to mind first and foremost when I think about Valentine’s Day? Why flowers of course! As you would have seen, we are partnering with Tonic Blooms this year to showcase their amazing variety of products. If you are planning ahead of time here are some options for you to pre-order before the big day:

Of the beautiful options available (click here to see them all) we are excited about ‘The Rosie’ because it features a special gift from our friends at The Chic CanuckBeautiful flowers and amazing gifts are always a good combo. And of course if you miss the pre-order deadline, other bouquets by Tonic Blooms will work just as well. The best part is the small delivery window you can choose and the incredible options available for order all with a few clicks on their beautiful website.

2. Chocolate

It may seem like a simple idea, but chances are we’ve all had a bad box of chocolates before. I trust Purdy’s with special occasions because I have come to understand the quality that goes into every piece of chocolate they produce. Not to mention the HUGE variety of flavours and fun packages they can create for that special someone. One of my favourite memories of being a child was getting chocolates, so why not continue that tradition with those I love this year? Click here to see which box I’ll be picking up for Catherine!

They’re clearly your person if they get you your all-time favourite Purdys chocolate in a heart-shaped box. #BeMine

3. Items for the kitchen

Yes, items for the kitchen get me excited. As I’ve gotten older, it is more and more important that I have good knives and cooking tools because I am the kind of person who loves to be in the kitchen. Obviously I always recommend items from ZWILLING J.A. Henckels Canada because they are the best in my opinion. So why not give something of quality with a bit of a romantic twist? I mean I know that I personally would love to receive:

Just to name a few… Someone tell Julio for me, okay?

4. Bubbly

Is there anything better in the world? I think not. Whether it’s a bottle of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2005, or a beautiful bottle of Moët & Chandon Brut Rosé (two of my personal favourites) from your local LCBO will help to bring a certain level of sophisticated elegance to an evening with that special someone or your group of girlfriends.
