Day 1 down and I am blogging from Mexico! For those of you who have been following @Fashionights & @DoTheDaniel on social media, you’ll have gotten a behind the scenes look at our #HelloExperience with Booking Hello and Catalonia Hotels & Resorts. Now that we are settled into our beautiful deluxe suite at Royal Tulum Beach & Spa Resort, let me tell you all about Day 1 and how we MAY never come home!
An alarm clock at 4am is never a nice thing. But, bright and early we woke up in Toronto and called our Uber Toronto taxi to pick is up. Along with our beautiful RIMOWA Salsa Deluxe luggage, we were off on an international adventure for the first time together.

Once we arrived at Toronto Pearson International Airport‘s Terminal 3 we were able to check it, get some MUCH needed coffee and prepare for some fun in the sun. I was amazed at the food and restaurant options available and I have some exciting plans in the works to bring you all what the airport has to offer food-wise when we get back to Canada.
Thank you again to WestJet for a seamless flight experience. The staff were friendly and our 3ish hour flight to Cancun International Airport was really comfortable. I’ve flown a lot of airlines around the world and this was one of my favourite experiences so far.
Once we arrived in Cancun, we were very thankful for the fact that Booking Hello also organizes your transportation to and from the airport. For those of you who have flown into CUN, you’ll know it’s a little intimidating once you pass through customs to be bombarded with cab drivers and signs. Thankfully, your own #HelloExperience will include a driver card with your name waiting for you and a cab quickly getting to your destination.
90 miles later and about an hour of driving through Mexico, we arrived at the beautiful Royal Tulum Beach & Spa Resort. The immensity of the welcome area and the lush tropical greenery immediately helped me to remember how much I love traveling down south. For those of you planning your visit, it’s important to note that check-in is at 3pm. Since Julio & I arrived around 1pm we were free to roam the grounds, get a drink (or five) and take some beautiful photos:

Once checked in, we were able to change and get back into the water. There was a moment as I stood in the ocean with Julio and looked to the coast and resort that I was truly relaxed. For those of you who don’t know me, that is not an easy task. With the site, the team, Julio, a job and everything in between it’s hard for me to turn my brain off. Booking Hello was able to help achieve that with their turnkey vacation package and I am so happy to be here!
