What is #DoTheDaniel? It’s the enthusiasm and ability to love what we do while providing our audience with education, entertainment and the ability to join us on our adventures around the world.
It’s Real People Doing Real Things™
Chief Executive Officer
Who is Daniel Reyes? I launched #DoTheDaniel with the intention of creating a space for real content working with real people.
With a degree in Communications from Carleton University, I developed my experience in the world of marketing before blogging full time. I am an eternal student who is always trying to learn about the ever-changing world we occupy online and thrive in. As CEO of the business, a traveler at heart, foodie, and many other things, I continue to be an advocate of an industry we now call home.
I could never have created a successful business without the inspiration and beginnings working for FASHIONIGHTS.com. Now alongside my best friend & business partner Catherine Sugrue, we run the day-to-day doings of #DoTheDaniel around the world. An avid coffee drinker, lover of new experiences, supporter of good people, and all around dork who never takes himself too seriously… I like to believe that our success is based on the fact that we give you truest selves every day.
Chief Operating Officer
So who is Catherine Sugrue? I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist (CNP) and the founder of Catherine’s Cabinet, created with the goal of offering fun, but accurate and meaningful, health and wellness information.
I have appeared in a number of online and in-person events – including the Harbourfront Hot & Spicy Food Festival, The National Women’s Show, The National Post, Openhartz.com and Live Daytime TV segments in Toronto and Ottawa. After years of travelling and living in numerous different countries all over the world, I now call Toronto my home.
I offer a hands-on, edgy and alternative approach to health and lifestyle. Eating healthy is not a trend and neither is having fun. So I’m here to turn the foods you love into the ones that can heal you!
London UK Contributor
So, who is Nicola Whyte? I am a Kiwi living in London, who is well known for my big smile and ready to laugh attitude. I love to travel the world and immerse myself in the cultures I experience. My adventures around the world will bring to DoTheDaniel.com a worldly view and travel tips while visiting some of the best destinations.
By day I work for local government, helping to improve areas of London. By night I am a live music fan and blogger.
My main philosophy is – ‘Go Everywhere, Try Everything!’ You can find me in local pubs around London, at the theatre, at the park or playing dodgeball in the local league. Brunch is my favourite meal of the day, preferably in an offbeat café, although I am well known for my cooking and baking prowess. As you get to know me, you’ll come to realize that my diary is full of exciting adventures, which I am excited to share with you all!
I’m a yoga and movement teacher living in Renfrew, Ontario with a love for pie and good conversation. I love connecting people with creative ways to be active using the platforms of health and wellness. I’m the mother of an amazing boy who never stops dreaming and loves to build.
Standing by the mantra to “Be Wild.” You can normally find me hiking, exercising, dancing, meeting new people and looking for new places to explore through my adventures.
Who is Bethany Freed?
To start, you can call me Beth! And I’m just another 20-something girl who is fuelled by Starbucks and her passion for all things cosmetic. I grew up in the dance world surrounded by red lipstick and glitter, and that is where my love of hair and makeup began!
I lived in Toronto for 4 years, where I furthered my preforming arts education, but grew up on Vancouver Island where I am currently living. I am so lucky to call both places home. I can’t wait to bring you along on all of my beauty adventures, and to show off my slice of paradise on the West Coast.
So who is Ashlyn Dawson? I am a full-time creative, part-time wanderer and an expert in the art of storytelling. My friends like to describe me as cultured, quirky and outgoing. My curiosity is what drives me to seek out new experiences. I am a sucker for new connections and enjoy sharing my love for food, travel and fashion with others.
I am also the Creative Director at Berkeley Events’ five unique venues. In my spare time you can catch me lounging on my hammock with a good book, binge watching Family Guy on Netflix, exploring small towns across Ontario or eating an entire box of pizza. I am also a proud #BlackGirlNerd and have a deep love for anime, comic books and cosplay!
So who is Annick Sheedy McLellan?
I’m a storyteller with a soft spot for real, genuine, candid people and experiences. I’m an actress, a writer, a spoonie (if you’re not familiar with the term check out The Spoon Theory!), a soon-to-be podcaster, a model and a vegan.
My love of performing blossomed at a very early age when I would force my family members and my parents invited dinner guests to watch my many theatrical productions. I grew up in Ottawa where I began my professional career in the film & TV industry 19 years ago. Since then, I’ve loved to work and live in many different cities including Montreal, Calgary, Halifax, London (UK) and New York City, where I graduated from the conservatory program at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
I am ridiculously curious about pretty much everything and passionate about constantly learning – I’m always studying a new language (French is my mother tongue and I’m conversational in Spanish, Italian and German.) I really love mermaids, vintage shopping, reading all the books, fine-tuning my skincare routine and spreading #invisibleillnessawareness. These days, I’m living in Toronto, discovering new incredible places and communities and continuing to pursue my great big dreams.
