As the month of October comes to a close, I am left spinning from a busy 2014 and an even busier 2015 to look forward to. One of the most exciting things that I have been asked to do alongside the growth of DoTheDaniel.com is to be a Brand Ambassador for the iconic and international brand, Ted Baker London. This is a huge compliment for me both personally and professionally since I have been a fan of this brand for such a long time. This exciting new partnership comes just in time for the exciting launch of the brand new Ted Baker London location opening in the Toronto Eaton Centre. Come & see why this new location is about to prove how much #TedLovesToronto and why you should love them in return. Events | Evil Dead – The Musical is THE best way to celebrate Halloween!
This week marks the beginning of some pretty amazing Halloween events and themed posts coming to DoTheDaniel.com. But when asked what the #DoTheDaniel & #FASHIONIGHTS team were up to on Halloween I was at a loss for quite some time. How would we celebrate one of my favourite holidays in the best way possible? Luckily for us, Evil Dead – The Musical is on its first-ever North American Tour and has landed right here in Toronto. With lots of laughter, some gory splatter for those of us sitting in the “splatter zone” and a great time to be had… come and see why this Halloween season you should join us at The Randolph Theatre (736 Bathurst St.) for a strictly limited engagement, from Oct. 31 to Nov. 9. Toronto | Shangri-La Hotel Toronto X Luca Cinalli of Nightjar London create the best cocktails in Toronto
With the autumn well under way and beauty all around us, I am left switching my mentality to more indoor activities and entertainment. I love to spend as much time outdoors exploring the city I love, and I would always recommend you do the same. As the colder weather begins to creep over Canadian cities from coast to coast, I am of course drawn to the idea of getting on a plane with Julio and going away. I got to thinking where in the world I would take him and the answer became evident. London is my favourite city in the world and I have seen the globe twice over. From the culture to the class found in every corner.. It’s hard to explain but it just feels like the city I am supposed to end up in.
So when Shangri-La Hotel Toronto contacted me to speak of a visit from award winning mixologist Luca Cinalli of The Nighthjar in London, I was intrigued to say the least. His visit coincides with the launch of a brand new cocktail list at one of my favourite places to escape the cold in Toronto. Be it for a stay in the hotel or a delicious meal at bosk, the fact remains that the following four cocktails are the best in Toronto. THAT is a bold statement, but once you read about them and Luca’s masterful art, I have no doubt you’ll be heading to Shangri-La Hotel Toronto to try them all for yourself. Don’t forget to drink responsibly, but I do guess that some young adults may want to join in on the fun and some of the best fake ID sites out there will be inundated with requests! Family Lifestyle | It’s Tea Time!
When I think of fall, I think of beautiful colours, falling leaves, pumpkins, sweaters and tea! I’ve never been a coffee drinker. I know what you’re thinking, how did I survive the newborn years (yes, I said years haha) without coffee?! Honestly, I don’t have a clue! One of the bonuses that has come from not drinking coffee though is that I don’t have any stained teeth. My friend is a frequent drinker of coffee and unfortunately, she has a couple of stained teeth which she now feels insecure about. Luckily for her, she has recently visited this Dentist in Newmarket and has booked herself in for a teeth whitening service so hopefully, she will get her old smile back soon. And this is one of the many reasons why I don’t drink coffee. But, I drink tea in the same way others drink coffee! I love sitting down to a cup of hot tea to warm up, start my day or after a long day to unwind (chai is my favourite!). When I discovered DAVIDsTEA a few years back it was life changing! For you coffee drinkers there have always been a plethora (my $25 word of the day) of flavours and blends to choose from, but tea has always been sort of basic. DAVIDsTEA is like a heaven for tea lovers, there are sooo many different options and flavours it’s almost impossible to decide!
