According to the National Centre on Sleep Disorders Research, this amounts to 33% of our entire lifetime spent sleeping. So, other than taking up a 1/3rd of our lives, why is it so darn important?

Life is busy. So now what?

Last year, I caught myself saying things like “I’ll get to it when things aren’t so crazy” or “There isn’t enough time in the day!” The funny thing is that the more connected we are with one another online and around the world, I think that sometimes we become less connected with ourselves. I had to face some pretty challenging moments that have offered me a perspective on life that I now use as a pseudo-mantra of sorts. January 25th is an important day for Canadians from coast-to-coast. #BellLetsTalk is a day to realize that it is time to end the stigma surrounding mental health. If it’s a new year, why are you still having the same ol’ bad night’s sleep?

When it comes to living a healthy lifestyle, one of the main factors in your overall health is sleep. I won’t jump the gun on Catherine’s upcoming sleep post in partnership with Casper (I got a preview and it is something you do NOT want to miss!), but I can share from personal experience that adding Casper to our lives was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
