Far Off the Beaten Path

While fairly new to the official #DoTheDaniel family, I have been a long time friend of it’s founder and his outlook for living life with verve and sharing adventure with the world. With the #DoTheDaniel fam expanding it seemed only fair for the topics we cover to stretch to new corners of the world. There was only one place that fit the bill for this month’s post, the Hotel Lafer in Stromberg, Germany. I had the pleasure of staying at the historic castle late last summer (my first ever press trip!) and share some packing essentials. The one thing I hadn’t yet covered was the amazing Michelin-starred food I ate there, or the wonderful sights and super-luxe accommodations.

The sport of adventure travel

For those of you who follow along with us on social media, you’ll have seen that 2017 has been a busy year for the team around the world. We are travelling a LOT lately, and with those experiences come a lot of adventures. If adventure travel was “officially” a sport, I like to think I would be a pro athlete. Over the years, I have been lucky to learn a lot of lessons. The most important one that I can offer is to be prepared for whatever may come your way, and so I decided to share some of my best ways to be prepared when travelling the cities of this big beautiful world.

A Culinary Trip to Spain in South London

If you follow Do The Daniel on Snapchat or Instagram Stories (and if you don’t, you really should, we are hilarious), you will know that during the week I manage an awesome project called Pop Brixton. This is a brilliant container campus filled with street food start-ups and some retail. Two years on, a number of these restaurants and kiosks are beginning to expand, and for one of my favourites, Donostia Social Club, this is most definitely the case.
