I love being Canadian. I love showcasing the beauty of our country from coast-to-coast, and we have been lucky enough to do that over the years. From Catherine’s visits to beautiful British Columbia, to east coast adventures with Julio in Halifax. One of the first places I ever visited was Banff with Catherine many many years ago. In celebration of CIBC’s 150th birthday, we were fortunate enough to celebrate with them by taking part in something that hasn’t been open to the public for a half a century. Alongside Canada celebrating 150 Years of Confederation, it was a perfect opportunity to “open the vault” on rarely seen treasures, historical Canadian artifacts and a breathtaking outdoor 360-degree view of the city.
With this year being Canada 150, the summer is jam-packed with events and activities that are sure to make this a celebration for the books. I for one, personally cannot wait for my initial summer kick off – The 158th Annual Queens Plate!
