In 2012, I realized my health was heading in a dangerous direction. I was in university and bartended at night to support myself through school. The stress of school, late night shifts and partying with friends from the industry was taking its toll on my physical, mental and emotional health.

As a Holistic Nutritionist, I go against some of the norm within my industry, as I don’t necessarily believe in intense detoxing or ritualized cleansing (just don’t even get me started on juice cleanses). I do believe in living a detoxifying lifestyle, though. Your body wants to get rid of the junk in order to function properly – you just have to do what you can to help your internal work crew do their jobs safely and efficiently.
