The Importance of Seafood Sustainability

In recognition of National Seafood Month, The Marine Stewardship Council and Nobilo Wines held an event to discuss and educate individuals about the importance of sustainable seafood. Growing up, seafood was part of our regular diet. My mom often opted to cook it because it was lighter and healthier than eating red meat. To be honest, although I grew up eating seafood frequently, I’ll admit I knew very little about seafood sustainability prior to this event.

How To Entertain With Sustainable Seafood

Although the holidays are done and dusted, it doesn’t mean you should stop partying – does it? I’m pretty sure that we could all come up with a plethora of different excuses to keep eating great food, socializing and possibly drinking a glass of wine (or 3). Food & Wine | The WWF Canada x MSC Sustainable Dinner made us stop and think

Sometimes I simply can’t fight my schedule. As much as I would love to be in Ottawa with the ladies while simultaneously at every event here in Toronto… I’m just one man. But being just one person, I also understand that my choices every day can make a difference in the world. Recently, on my behalf, Julio attended the #WWFHealthyOceans dinner at Ruby Watchco with WWF Canada & MSC (Marine Stewardship Council). Similarly to my point above, the dinner was meant to make us stop and realize that making sustainable choices in our everyday life can help to make a difference in the world.
