In case you missed it, earlier this year I name Mexico City as our favourite destination of 2017. I am not someone who uses words like “best” or “favourite” lightly, so when I do, you can rest assured it means something. Over the last year, we have traveled to over 40 destinations with our partners around the world alongside the DoTheDaniel.com team. Each of them has been amazing and has added to our #DTDTravels roster. That being said, every single time I think about what destination had the biggest impact on me both personally and professionally, CDMX is top of mind. Dr. Seuss’ Oh, The Places You’ll Go! is one of those books that means so much to me. I remember my mom giving it to me when I graduated from Carleton University. It was a touching gesture and still reminds me of that moment when I stood facing the possibilities that were ahead of me. I could never have known what the future held for me, but that book was a pretty good start. Flash forward ten years later, and here I am sharing my life with you all from a blog that I have turned into a career. Looking back on 2017, I have certainly seen many places and experienced many things with you all around the world.
