With Love, Siempre xo

I remember first meeting Alex Lacroix at a now defunct Mexican restaurant in the distillery district of Toronto for a media event introducing a new tequila to me in 2015-ish. This was before I had ever really explored Mexico – not the beaches and resorts we all love, but Mexico City, Oaxaca and the interior that truly define the soul of a country I could see myself calling home. Where I truly learned about the artistry behind Mezcal and Tequila, which one day years later would become my favourite of all. And at the top of that list, Siempre Tequila would find its way into my heart and never leave.

Here’s a Few Gift Ideas For That Person Who’s a Bit Difficult to Shop For

Now I probably shouldn’t admit this, but I’m not exactly the easiest person to shop for. Not because I’m picky, but I just much prefer the act of giving gifts than that of receiving them. I’ve kind of always been like this actually, even when I was a little boy. As I’ve gotten older I’ll make note of things that I find interesting, different and a little bit quirky for those who ask me what I want as a gift. I thought I would share a few of those things with you should you have someone who is a bit difficult to shop for this year too!

A Return To Artisan Tequila

Over the course of the last twelve months I’ve realized I have been talking about Tequila a lot more. Maybe it’s the longing deep in my heart to return to Mexico City and explore the country more with Julio. Maybe it’s the fact that I’m growing up and realizing what I appreciate again. Whatever it is, I have been growing my collection of tequila at home with brands that I appreciate and that I love. Recently I was introduced to a product that hasn’t even launched in Canada and I wanted to share!
