Being that I am a hopeless romantic, it should come as no shock that I love to send letters in the mail to my friends and family. There is something incredibly beautiful about taking a few minutes to pick out a card or beautiful stationary and send someone in your life a beautiful sentiment to make them smile or laugh. I used to send Catherine really crass cards when she lived in London and New Zealand because I knew that no matter what was going on in her life, that one moment when she knew I was thinking about her would help her remember how much I love her. I still send Julio love letters in the mail because I believe that it’s important to keep romance alive. I think that in the world of social media and emails, sometimes we forget that feeling of receiving a letter in the mail. #WorldStationeryDay is a great reminder to pick up a card, just because, and send it in the mail to someone you love.
