We Got to Check Out a Secret View of the City!

In celebration of CIBC’s 150th birthday, we were fortunate enough to celebrate with them by taking part in something that hasn’t been open to the public for a half a century. Alongside Canada celebrating 150 Years of Confederation, it was a perfect opportunity to “open the vault” on rarely seen treasures, historical Canadian artifacts and a breathtaking outdoor 360-degree view of the city.

What the Heck is an Ophthalmologist?

As a certified health professional, I was required to study a variety of different diseases and disorders, including their full aetiology – meaning causes, onset and progression. But, what I learned was only a drop in the ocean compared to what there is to learn in medicine. You see, the human body is quite complex. Don’t worry, I won’t get too sciency here. I mean, I could if you want me to cause I love that stuff. But really though, there are so many different systems at play keeping you alive and functioning – how is it even possible to be an expert in all of them? So, that’s where Specialists come into the picture.

How to Get a Head to Toe Outfit for Under $100

I love getting new clothing, but I freakin’ hate shopping. Daniel gets consistently annoyed by how I walk through a store picking up items, then I get excited by them, try them on, get excited again, look at the price tag, head over to the cash register, look at the tag one more time, stop for a minute and then turn right back around and return them to the rack. Like clockwork, every single time. I can literally feel his eyes rolling back as I write this.

Adventures in Downtown Vancouver

I’ve been to Vancouver once before, but this time was different. I was between living in two countries the last time I ventured to this West Coast Canadian City. You see, I found myself moving from England to New Zealand in 2011 and decided to take a longer way to get there, from London to Toronto to Alberta to British Columbia to Hawaii to Australia and then ending up in New Zealand for a year. So, I didn’t spend much time focusing much on any particular leg of the trip, so much as all of it collectively.
