What does it mean to be Canadian?

2017 has proven to be an amazing year thus far, and it is really only getting started if you think about it. After enjoying a quintessential Canadian winter, it’s time for us all to stretch and get ready for a sunny and warm spring. With the new season comes a sense of excitement, and I am happy to be able to finally tell you all that we have partnered with CIBC for their #StandForCanada campaign which coincides with #Canada150 & CIBC 150th celebrations taking place across the country. For the next few months, the #DoTheDaniel team will be attending some incredible events and bringing you all BTS with us in the process. The adventure continues

By now it should come as no surprise that I am loving the energy surrounding 2017 and all things #Canada150. We have some exciting partnerships that we will be announcing soon to help celebrate with Canadians from coast-to-coast. When I stop to think about Canadiana and the celebrations, there is of course several brands that come to mind. Recently I had the pleasure of attending a special announcement from Hudson’s Bay where they announced the launch of the commemorative Hudson’s Bay Grand Portage items that will help to connect Trans Canada Trail’s Great Trail in celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday through its Grand Portage fundraising program. “The Great Trail, which is the longest recreational trail in the world, will finally connect Canadians from coast-to-coast-to-coast, leaving a great Canadian legacy to be enjoyed for generations to come.” Continue reading “The adventure continues”

Why are we still fighting this shit?

It’s International Women’s Day today. Given the current political climate, combined with marches being held across the globe, it is set to be the biggest one yet. Why? Because for some reason, we are still fighting the same issues we’ve been fighting for decades now. But guess what? Now, we’re being more vocal, we’re louder and more united than we ever have been before. And we’re sick of this shit.

Gold medalist Marielle Thompson takes on a new golden opportunity

For those of you who follow along with us on social media, you’ll have seen that we’ve been sharing a lot of exciting #Canada150 moments. Those won’t be slowing down any time soon, and another one just took place today as CIBC announced Gold medalist Marielle Thompson as a CIBC 150 Brand Ambassador.
