I’ve been to Vancouver once before, but this time was different. I was between living in two countries the last time I ventured to this West Coast Canadian City. You see, I found myself moving from England to New Zealand in 2011 and decided to take a longer way to get there, from London to Toronto to Alberta to British Columbia to Hawaii to Australia and then ending up in New Zealand for a year. So, I didn’t spend much time focusing much on any particular leg of the trip, so much as all of it collectively.
When work throws off your balance
Hello. My name is Lesli. I’m a workaholic.
It’s true. Ask anyone I know and they’ll tell you, I’m tethered to my phone, to the chime of a new email, a phone call or text from work. I happily give my all to my job, and as my reward, I’ve broken sales record, launched flawless campaigns and press events, earned promotions, met some amazing people and friends, and been asked to move to the US to manage a whole new market. I’ve earned a seat at the table, and I’ve learned in! Boy have I leaned in… (If you haven’t read LEAN IN by Sheryl Sandberg, you better!)

One day recently, I had enough and I knew something had to change.

Thankfully, I’ve only had to use home treatments for scabies once before but is definitely something you need to be wary of in the winter. As is the dry skin and itchiness that comes with the winter chills and wind.
I recently had the opportunity to visit with Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Advisor, Ross Flower to talk about my specific skin issues in tandem with some simple food additions I’ve added to my diet thanks to President’s Choice. I am sharing my tips to feeling comfortable in my own skin again with you and have some tips on how you too can do the same in your day-to-day life!
