It’s National Cereal Day!

I don’t think there is anything quite as nostalgic to me as a big bowl of cereal. It takes me right back to being a little boy and watching Saturday morning cartoons. A memory that I love, and something that I actually still enjoy never-you-mind how many years later. ?

The Year We All Broke The Rules

While 2020 started off in a pretty predictable way for the most part, personally I have found myself inspired to break the rules and switch things up. To talk about my finances, my weight and body image in the limelight, my way of life and my truth more than ever.

“Are You Carving Out Time For Your Health & Mind?”

That’s a question that was posed to me recently by a dear friend during a discussion we were having while catching up. And to be honest, one that I struggled to answer. The funny thing about happiness, or mental health, or spiritual fulfillment, or heck.. even love, is that it’s not a destination to reach and then yours to wear like a badge. It takes work, every single day.

I picture my life like a beautiful wall of cogs of various sizes, all moving in harmonious balance with one another. Except, if I don’t give them all the attention and care they need, one might get a little rusted. As that one slows down or stops, they are all affected. Every action causing a reaction in my life. And lately I’ve been feeling a little rusty I guess.

With the new energy of 2020 has come a new perspective on life. With my work I find myself gravitating towards more positive messaging and causes that deserve the support of us all. I am more focused on making my family and dreams of children a reality. And, of course, I am proudly supporting Julio in his endeavors to become an advocate for HIV/AIDS awareness.
