A Date Day Idea That Might Surprise You

You’ll notice I’ve been on the hunt for date night and date ideas lately that are a little “outside the box.” While going to the movies or grabbing dinner is fun (and very important for that special someone) – it’s equally important to find experiences that you can share with your loved one that allow you to connect in new ways. One of my favourite parts of 2019 has been exploring more art and exhibits around the city. I was lucky enough to be invited to Hamilton thanks to my friends at Milli to see the new exhibit at the Art Gallery of Hamilton entitled Milli: A Celebration of Style and I realized it might be one of the best date day ideas you could have this year.

Something To Think About

As someone who calls Toronto home, I am always curious about what to do when I have down time or want to create memorable experiences on a date or with my friends. Although I love spoiling those I love with meals and movies, sometimes it can be fun to think outside of the box a little bit. Recently Annick and I had the pleasure of visiting one of Toronto’s newest museums and, let’s just say it made us rethink how we see things. Takashi Murakami’s “The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg”

Recently, we were invited to the Vancouver Art Gallery for a private preview of their newest exhibition, Takashi Murakami’s, “The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg”, which has taken over the Vancouver Art Gallery. Walking up to the Vancouver Art Gallery, from blocks away, you could literally see Murakami’s Octopus motif wrapping around the entirety of the building.

A Look Back at 2017
