A Weekend Getaway in Kingston

Recently, I decided to pay a visit to Kingston for work. Growing up in Ottawa, I would pass it by on the way to Toronto. But I think I’ve only ever stopped in maybe once or twice to explore, so I didn’t really ever get a sense of the city at all. I clearly had no idea what I was missing out on! Kingston itself has roots embedded deep within Canada’s history, with former trading posts, Fort Frontenac, Queens University, the Royal Military College, and even being the birthplace of the first prime minister of Canada.

A Bit of a Fitness TuneUp

So let’s be honest – I haven’t been sharing a lot of fitness updates online and here on the blog lately. I, like many of you, have found myself falling a bit behind on my promise to be more active. But, that’s okay.

After all, I am human and I can’t be in two places at once. While not here with you, I’ve been working away at a job I love and building towards my goal of children with Julio. Finding Balance in Buying Things for the Future

When I sat down to make my fall budget, I would never have imagined that on my way to my 36th birthday a few short weeks ago, I would be finally trying to plan a vacation before the end of 2019. It seems silly to say, but living on a budget while working towards a family with my husband has meant that a lot of my extravagant buying came to a halt this year. No more careless spending for me!
