An Exciting New Ride for Thrill Seekers

Thrill seekers unite – Canada’s Wonderland is set to open the world’s longest and fastest dive roller coaster in Spring 2019 and the entire team in Toronto cannot wait! I can remember my first experience at Canada’s Wonderland vividly. We took a field trip in my grade 11 physics class. It was my first time ever visiting the park, and I was both excited and nervous. I didn’t have a lot of roller coaster experiences in the past, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. The very first ride I ever rode was Thunder Run, and let me tell you, I was terrified. Looking back, it makes me chuckle a little because I’m now the complete opposite, constantly searching for the next hair raising experience.

Someone Tell Santa

Can you believe that we are already half-way through December? Can you believe how close we are to Christmas? Every year just seems to go by faster and faster, so I use the holidays as an excuse to slow down. Eggnog in one hand, eyes on my family, phone at the other end of the room whenever possible. It’s the perfect way to round out the year and to take time to be thankful.

The closer we get to the holidays, the more I am excited to be able to catch up with friends and family. My freezer and fridge are full of food ready to be transformed into sumptuous meals and memories. My bar is stocked with beautiful bottles ready to be opened and popped. In my opinion there is so much to smile about this holiday season, and inspired by a recent tasting and immersive event here in Toronto, I am sharing some great options to have in your home this holiday season and for NYE.

HOLIDAY GUIDE: How to Eat, Drink and be Merry in Vancouver this Christmas

The Christmas season is upon us, which means drinking all the holiday beverages while navigating the logistical chaos of it all. One of the things I love about living in Vancouver during the holiday season is that there is such a wide range of activities to do (which is why I will always recommend that if you are thinking of moving that you come here – you can even check out these new construction homes in North Vancouver if you wanted). For those wanting to take in the sheer beauty of the west coast there’s skiing in Whistler or checking out the light installations at Capilano suspension bridge. As well as a ton of more urban activities in the city, from The Goh Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’, The trolley karaoke Christmas tour, and Santa Claus day parade. I also love taking my younger brother to “Fly Over Canada” because they do a Christmas themed ride, where you fly with Santa and his reindeer across Canada and then land on the North Pole.

December is also the busiest month for events, including holiday parties (in my case, my birthday), finishing up all the work for the year, and trying to get my holiday shopping done. As of the time of this article being published, I haven’t even started yet. Send Starbucks.
