You’ll remember that in early November, I told you about my favourite holiday memories and how they might surprise you. Shortly afterwards, I was lucky enough to be able to attend one of our favourite holiday events. Thanks to our friends at Nintendo Canada, we joined in on the #NintendoHoliday excitement here in Toronto and got to try all the highly anticipated new games. Turns out, I still love Pokémon and Mario Kart as much as I did years ago, and so now that my new Nintendo Switch is on the way, I wanted to share a bit more about what the holidays mean to me and why I love that I’m still a kid at heart at thirty-five. It Isn’t The Holiday Season Without These Items
As 2018 comes to a close in a few short weeks, I am busy getting my holiday shopping done, meal planning for those special people in my life, running to events and writing blog posts when I have a few hours to sit down at the office. Well, it’s officially December and 2018 is coming to a close in a few short weeks. With the holidays to look forward to, I’ve been giving the year a lot of thought. After a pretty emotional few days remembering my Dad with family – while simultaneously traveling a lot for work – I am sitting down to remember why there is so much to smile about. I think sometimes we all can get stuck in a “good riddance” mentality, but even if the year was a challenging one, I hope that you come to a point before NYE where you realize that every lesson you have been faced with had helped to make you into the person you are today. And sometimes, the best thing you can give the universe on a challenging day is a smile. Continue reading “There Is So Much To Smile About”
