3 Reasons I Decided to Get Life Insurance

With my 35th birthday around the corner, I’ve been thinking a lot lately. I’ve come to accept with the cost of having a child, it’s probably not going to happen for another few years. And if I did what if I got into a serious accident at work? Disability insurance could help with that. My doctor friend told me that he has physician disability insurance and he is the same age as me. I don’t like it, but it’s important to be a bit more realistic about my life and where I am headed after the last few months. I recently sat down with an RBC Insurance advisor here in Toronto to talk about life insurance and starting to invest in myself and my goals on a more consistent basis. Life Insurance and everything surround this topic can be quite daunting, but when you put that aside, you realise that this is something that has to be done if you want to protect your family once you no longer can. Companies such as Money Expert can help you out when it comes to ensuring you choose the right insurance for the needs of yourself and your family. Not many people consider this until it is too late, but once you sort this out earlier, it is one less thing for you to think about.

It is best to get this done through professional and reputable companies such as Affordable LIfe USA, who can give you the right advice to move forward with getting your life insurance sorted. Life insurance policies differ for every country though so if you’re in the US then you may need to look for another provider or if you’re from you might want to visit Lifequote.co.za for life insurance. I wanted to share my personal experience with getting life insurance and the three reasons why I felt it was important to do so. Continue reading “3 Reasons I Decided to Get Life Insurance”

Taking The Time To Appreciate Classic Style

It’s Thursday afternoon and I just got back to the office. This week seems to be flying by while simultaneously taking an eternity for me. Life and work have been busy, which is a good place to be, but I find myself feeling a little stressed. So when I was offered the chance to sit down with iconic American designer Todd Snyder to talk about his collaboration with Timex, I honestly didn’t know if I had the time. Thankfully I made it, because I left that interview feeling so inspired about working hard, dedication, and staying true to the things that I love. The watch business is something many people feel passionate about, with many young people now taking part in businesses such as Watch Trading Academy in order to start their own watch trading. It’s a business that takes effort and determination, but can give major rewards to those who deserve it. Todd’s story and concept behind collaborating with one of the world’s most famous time piece brands left me feeling like anything can happen if you work hard enough at it – and so it’s back to work for me before I jet off to the cocktail party he is hosting tonight in Toronto! Coming Out Of The Cannabis Closet

Well, I guess now is as good a time as ever to address the green elephant in the room. On October 17th, Cannabis will be legalized in Canada and it’s time we spoke about what that means. A not too dissimilar situation is occurring in Ohio. Although, it is only legal for an Ohio dispensary to provide marijuana for medicinal use. I like to think that over the years, with the help of our incredible Contributors and staff members, we’ve been able to dispel a lot of myths or preconceptions on some pretty controversial topics. Being that Cannabis is THE hot topic right now, I felt it important to address it as both a budding industry, coming to us coast-to-coast, but also as a conversation topic that we don’t need to be scared to talk about anymore. Some people have realized the health benefits of using cannabis substances such as CBD, and THC as well as trying their best to educate members of the public through places online as well as guides such as a guide to concentrates which looks at the different types of strains available and their effects and benefits. The age of vilified cannabis use is hopefully coming to an end, and thanks to the team at Emerald Health Therapeutics, I was recently able to educate myself properly on the subject matter. Now that I’ve had time to digest the information, I wanted to take the time to share this topic with all of you for the first time. October 17th is coming, whether you like it or not, so why wouldn’t we help to educate each other as best as we can? Continue reading “Coming Out Of The Cannabis Closet”

Back to School On A Budget

*Please note that this is a sponsored post with Capital One Canada – our disclosure can always be found by clicking here.

With September around the corner, the latest topic at #DoTheDaniel is back to school. Whether it’s Ro getting five-year-old Lincoln ready for full days, or Gemma continuing work on her university degree, which might be one of those online mba programs now, we are all focused on this exciting time of year. It’s why I wanted to take a minute to share some interesting facts about Canadians, and how we sometimes need a reminder that #BackToSchool shopping should be done with a budget in mind – goodness knows we all could save a bit of money while getting prepared for the school year.
