Tips to treat the one you love

Over the past few weeks, I have been reminded of the importance of disconnecting in order to reconnect with those I love. Sounds like a simple idea, but it’s actually a lot more difficult than you might imagine. As someone who “lives online” it can be difficult for me to not feel guilty if I don’t look at my phone every five minutes. Events | The importance of date night & why we can’t wait to see KEANU

I like to believe that I’m the romantic one in our relationship. I send love letters, buy “just because flowers” and enjoy surprising my husband with tokens of my love. One thing that Julio is better at is impromptu date nights and taking me out to enjoy some us time away from the busy day to day life we live. One way that we do that is to go to the movies and enjoy spending some time together with our body weight in popcorn. It’s one of the reasons why I am so excited for Warner Bros. Events | We are celebrating Valentine’s Day at AGO’s FRANK Restaurant

From my experience, Valentine’s Day is one of those occasions that can polarize people. As a hopeless romantic, I tend to fall into the group that loves to spoil my friends and family with chocolates and roses because I like to believe that a day to celebrate love is a beautiful thing. When it comes to celebrating with Julio, on our first Valentine’s Day together as a couple, I found a florist who could import blue orchids (his favourite) in the middle of winter and had them delivered. Now that we’re married, and beginning a new chapter together, I have to think beyond flowers and designer bags in order to create memories that we can hold onto forever. Enjoying a beautiful meal in a romantic setting is the perfect way to celebrate this year, and it is why we are choosing to enjoy AGO’s FRANK Restaurant together.
