I’ve been to Vancouver once before, but this time was different. I was between living in two countries the last time I ventured to this West Coast Canadian City. You see, I found myself moving from England to New Zealand in 2011 and decided to take a longer way to get there, from London to Toronto to Alberta to British Columbia to Hawaii to Australia and then ending up in New Zealand for a year. So, I didn’t spend much time focusing much on any particular leg of the trip, so much as all of it collectively.
Australia is Coming to Toronto!
My first visit to Australia was a pretty magical experience and certainly one I will never forget. I was on my way from living in England and off to start a new life in New Zealand, so I decided to pay a visit before settling in their neighbouring country for a year. We landed in Sydney, then headed off to Perth, and ending our trip in Melbourne. Both sides of the country were so different, yet common threads could be found everywhere you looked. One of these evident commonalities was the absolutely stunning scenery that was consistently provided. I made some good friends over there who told me more about Australia, the infamous nightlife with footy trips happening all the time, places to go and things to see.
A Day Under the Tuscan Sun
On a recent press trip to Venice, I decided to make the most of the Dolce Vita and explore another part of Italy…. Florence! Just a 2.5-hour train ride away, I opted to take the earliest train there, and latest back to give myself a full day in the historic city. Brimming with culture, history and cuisine I spent a fair amount of time researching before heading off for the day. With just a few hours in Florence, I knew I needed to make every second count. I’ll be sharing some highlights and must-sees from my glorious day under the Tuscan sun.
