5 Ways to Celebrate Pride in Toronto

As Julio packs his half of the luggage upstairs before we leave for Toronto this weekend for Pride celebrations in partnership with Destination Toronto, I am sitting at our dinning room table looking at my nails and some videos we’ve been teasing of our drag alter egos Anna & Esmeralda here and here. TBH I’m smiling because it feels like I am coming to understand a certain part of myself as a gay man that I never knew properly. I guess the timing couldn’t be any better since this weekend is a jam packed weekend of events, professional drag performances, the Pride Toronto parade and so much more. The Best Events of The Week!

I am not about to sit here and tell you that Pride Month isn’t a busy one for us – I am grateful to be a queer creator and in many cases over the last nine years of blogging, June is my highest traffic month of all with some spectacular partners who want to work with me. 2022 is no different asides from the fact that we are booked and busy in between Ottawa and Toronto – I wanted to share some of the best events happening this week in Toronto that you can still get tickets to (hopefully) to come join us in the #PrideTO celebrations!

Diner en Blanc Toronto is FINALLY back!

When it comes to events that I would attend every year like clockwork in the “before times” – pre-pandemic I am light-heartedly referencing – there are a handful that I would NEVER MISS when we lived in Toronto. On the other side of what has been a transformative few years, and now living in Ottawa for sake of getting to adoption sooner, I am so excited by the return of one event that we have solidified out tickets and have booked the time off. Let’s talk about the triumphant return of Diner en Blanc Toronto for it’s 9th iteration and a triumphant return and a magical experience we wouldn’t miss for the world!
