As we slowly inch our way into the spring months, I am left wondering what adventures 2017 will hold for the team and I around the world. It feels as though the past few months have just flown by and I am left feeling a little bit drained. After a recent visit and tour of The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto with Catherine to talk about some exciting things they have in store for tourists and Torontonians alike, I decided I wanted to share what my dream stay at the hotel would look like. Someone make sure to tell Julio for me, okay?
For those of you who have never been to The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto, you’re in for quite a treat. As one of Toronto’s luxury hotels, it offers experiences that are sure to leave you feeling like you’re in the lap of luxury. And after all, don’t you deserve to pamper yourself or the one you love every now and again? So what would my dream stay at one of my favourite hotels look like?
Upon check in, I would walk into the welcoming space of the main lobby. Being that we travel a lot for work, I usually can get a sense of a hotel within the first few minutes of arriving. The space itself is welcoming and warm, and you can usually find the who’s who of Toronto walking through on any given day.
After unpacking my luggage in one of their beautiful rooms (*several options pictured above), I would make my way down to Spa My Blend by Clarins Canada for a little pampering. “Originally launched in Paris, Spa My Blend by Clarins in The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto is only the second luxury spa of its kind in the world. The soothing spa oasis of beauty and wellness has been celebrated internationally, attracting some of the beauty industry’s most elite professionals.”
I have never experienced a My Blend Facial process, but it would be first on my to do list during an much needed afternoon of relaxation. With men’s treatments (a rarity in the city I can assure you) available, I would turn off my phone to really be present and in the moment. Depending on if the stay was with Julio for a romantic staycation, or with Catherine for a BFF weekend of luxury and relaxation, the spa has treatments to suit your needs.
After unwinding for a few hours with the team at the spa, I would make my way across the hall to the pool. I am a total water baby and when in doubt, you can usually find me daydreaming and floating in the hotel pool when time permits me to do so. But this is my dream staycation, so I’ll be in there for quite some time I can assure you!
After a quick shower and outfit change it would be time for a special meal at TOCA. And this isn’t just any meal, I would want to organize a personalized dinning experience for a meal at the highly desired chef’s table located right in the heart of the kitchen. Okay, so now that I would have gorged myself on some of Toronto’s best food and wine with my friends, it would be time to take the evening downstairs for a few cocktails. I have attended many events at DEQ Terrace & Lounge, so it would be a nice change of pace to sit down with a few friends over drinks. Who doesn’t love a good lounge?!
After a busy day pampering myself, it would be time to head upstairs to soak in the tub, put on a robe and enjoy the beauty of the room. Breakfast in bed the next morning via room service would be the icing on the proverbial cake for this epic hotel experience in the heart of Toronto.
