How To Make The Most Out of Your Time

For those of you who haven’t quite nailed their time management strategies yet, you might be feeling like there just isn’t enough hours in a day to get everything you need to get done, done! And this is all on top of also trying to have a life… and run the empire that is you… and catch up on all of the Netflix shows you’ve been dying to watch… while also trying to stay healthy, look cute and actually get a whole night’s sleep, and so on and so on. But honestly, there is more than enough time to do all of this AND more! Yes, including the sleep, my friends.

And this is where making the effort to get organized and shift your mindset towards time management, truly comes into play. Listen, I get it. Sometimes you feel like you can’t organize yourself out of a wet paper bag, but trust me – you can certainly get your act together. Trust me. It’s just a matter of believing in your fine self and having the right tools to get ya there! So, let me give you a few.

Boundaries Are Key

Stop saying “yes” to shit you don’t wanna say “yes” to. It’s just that simple. You are allowed to say “no”, for the record. And sometimes, saying “no” can make room for a bigger yes! And yeah, sometimes you’ve gotta do some stuff you don’t wanna do, in order to make progress somewhere else in your life. But just make sure that you’re working towards your goal and that your priorities are in order.

Now, don’t confuse this with limits, as you don’t want to stop yourself from reaching new heights, they’re just boundaries around the stuff you’re willing or not willing to accept within your environment. Period. And this whole setting boundaries thing doesn’t just mean with other people – your boundaries with yourself also count. Block time out for yourself, in order to help rebalance the rest of your life. And guess what? You shouldn’t feel bad about it – not one bit.

You Are What You Eat

Listen, if you eat like crap, you’re gonna feel like crap. And that’s not really conducive to being productive now, is it? Fuel your container with the right nutrients for your body and be sure to take care of yourself. Your body is the only place you have to live – so treat it that way! Do what you can to be operating at peak performance. This might mean making a pretty big lifestyle change – but honey, it’s worth it.

Get inspired by the people in your life who motivate you to make healthy choices, and follow accounts online that also inspire you by giving you healthy tips and tricks to incorporate into your busy life. More importantly, along this journey, don’t be hard on yourself while making these changes, because added stress ain’t helping nobody.

Accessorize With a Purpose

There’s nothing wrong with tryna’ look cute while keeping your schedule in check. And what better way to manage your time, than to have it looking great on your wrist all day? From clocks to pocket watches to beautiful watches you can wear, TIMEX has been helping you to keep track of your time for over 150 years now. And it doesn’t hurt that they’re fashionable and functional.

Completing your outfit with casual or everyday pieces will make you look put together for your meetings or nights out, without adding too much effort. Adding a signature accessory piece really helps to bring your look together. Which is a great way to save time on getting ready!

Take More Breaks

You know that you’re allowed to make time for down time, right? Practicing self-care isn’t selfish, it’s a method of self-preservation.

There are a lot of different ways to perform self-care. You need to find the method that suits you best. If you feel extremely stressed, you might want to find some self-care activities that would lower this stress and help you to relax. Some people might decide to take a hot bath and relax that way. You could even use some wholesale cbd bath bombs to make the bath more peaceful. CBD is believed to help people de-stress and lower anxiety, so it could have a positive impact on your mood and wellbeing. Perhaps some people should try that. Of course, there are other methods too.

Napping has been scientifically proven to make people more productive. I know it might seem counterintuitive to think about taking time out of your day to schedule in some naps. But the benefits far outweigh the time you’ll be bowing out of what you’re up to. Research has shown that naps lead to improvement in memory, performance, cognitive function and creative thinking. In particular, napping can benefit the learning process by helping you take in and retain information better. One study on memory even found that participants did remarkably better on a test following a nap than those who didn’t sleep at all. Yep, so make sure to let your boss know that you’ll need a nap pod in your office.

Go Hug a Tree, Or Two

Spending time in nature, and more specifically, grounding (connecting directly to the earth) has been shown to help you to relax, unwind and focus. The more balanced and centred you are, the more efficiently you can function. We live in a hyper-stimulated environment, constantly demanding our attention. Taking some time out of your day to connect with the earth will help to bring you back into a place where you feel like you’ve pressed the reset button and are ready to get shit done.

If you’re really looking to make the most out of your time, you can also combine your time out in nature with your fitness routine. TIMEX has a line to help with your fitness needs, the Ironman GPS Collection. Lasting up to 12 hours on a charge and incredibly lightweight, they’re designed to be simple for beginner runners and athletes who want stats without complication. 5K to triathlon this is your simplest GPS watch ever. Now that’s an effective tool to keep your health goals on track, while also staying on top of your schedule.
