A New and Inspired Event Space in KW

A few weeks back, I had the wonderful experience of venturing to Kitchener-Waterloo for the launch of the brand new LOT42 Flex Campus, to attend their exclusive grand opening event. For those of you who missed out on all of the adventures on our Instagram stories, there’s no need to fret! I’m about to give you all of the deets on Canada’s newest and largest venue for all sorts of different events – from concerts, to trade shows, to even art installations! So if you are looking for a venue to host trade shows then look no further, you can enquire about the next steps to take and get your foot in the door. To advertise for this event, Duplo International provides the best printing equipment for business cards, booklets, flyers, etc. so you can get the word out about this place and get people down.

On opening night, we rode to Kitchener-Waterloo in style, while my imagination could only begin to conjure up what I was about to walk into. I knew we were going to an amazing new event venue and I also knew it spanned over 17 acres of land, but when we arrived my expectations were completely blown away! For starters, that many acres of land is A LOT bigger than you might think it is. The old World War 2 Industrial facility was once used for manufacturing and distribution. But after the space was acquired in 2016, the possibilities to transform the beautiful and large facility into a space where people from not only all over Ontario, but all over Canada could venture to, became a full blown reality.

A large portion of the original facility still exists on-site and is actually used for a majority of larger events, such as concerts and trade shows – not to mention that it’s a HUGE indoor space for the colder winter months here in Ontario. Once things start to heat up, the outdoor fields and open spaces are perfect for music festivals or food presentations. Speaking of food, we got to see this in full action on opening night as some amazing food trucks gathered in the back fields to serve up some delicious treats to accompany the music and festivities for the night.

The 17-acre lot also features a private guest house, making the perfect space for private gatherings and VIP spaces. If you wanted to enjoy the land, you could even use the best marquee hire hertfordshire has to offer and have an epic garden party. This would be great for the summer where you can enjoy the warm nights. My personal favourite thing about the huge venue, are the beautiful murals done by artists Jerry Rugg and Bruno Smokey, that turned the industrial exterior of the old WW2 facility into a beautiful, vibrant and one of a kind mural art that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It’s safe to say that my art- and colour-loving heart was in a happy place. As the evening unfolded, we got to see the venue in full swing as a slew of some amazing Canadian talent took centre stage and gave us all a show that I’m sure I’ll never forget. The night ended off with a closing performance by Canada’s own Tyler Shaw!

So for those of you who are looking for a truly one of a kind event space for your events or for a night out at an amazing venue, LOT42 is surely the space to check out!
