As most of you may know, I covered the 2017 IHEARTRADIO MMVAs this year on behalf of the blog. It was honestly one of the biggest events within the media that I have had the pleasure and opportunity to attend. I was extremely excited of course, but also very stressed. Originally, I was worried about my commute as my place in Toronto is located all the way in “Narnia” (AKA by Kipling Station #humbernorthproblems). The problem with living in that area is that the commute isn’t always reliable. Sometimes it can take me 40 minutes to get downtown by transit, and other times it has taken me two hours because of traffic, delays, or other random unfortunate Toronto-related circumstances.
Behind the Scenes and the Winners List
Hosted by Alessia Cara and Joe Jonas, alongside co-hosts Liz Trinnear and Tyrone Edwards, the iconic IHEARTRADIO MMVA awards show aired live on Sunday, June 18 on Much, CTV, VRAK, and the iHeartRadio app. Announced performers who rocked it live on the stage included the Arkells, DNCE, Camila Cabello, Iggy Azalea, Imagine Dragons, Jazz Cartier, Julia Michaels, Lorde, Niall Horan, and Post Malone. Amongst the many familiar faces, some of the presenters included 4YallEntertainment, Bea Miller, Brandon Flynn, Hedley,Keke Palmer, KJ Apa, Lilly Singh, Martha Hunt, Nikki Bella, and Shay Mitchell.

Mac Demarco’s Album Review
Mac Demarco has been slowly rising in the Indie scene for a few years now, and is only becoming bigger and bigger. He has released 3 full length albums, a live album, and an EP. “This Old Dog” is his first album since “Salad Days” in 2014, and his first release since his EP “Another One” back in 2015. To say fans have been eagerly awaiting this album would be an understatement.
