As 2018 comes to a close in a few short weeks, I am busy getting my holiday shopping done, meal planning for those special people in my life, running to events and writing blog posts when I have a few hours to sit down at the office. I love the hustle and bustle of it all – it is the most wonderful time of the year after all. I think what I love most about the holidays are those moments when I can sit down with friends and family, put my phone away, and really be present with them. Here is how I plan to do that this year with a few items that I absolutely need for the holidays.
For those of you who follow along with us on Instagram, you’ll have seen that Annick and I recently had the pleasure of joining Starbucks Canada for a wreath making class to celebrate the launch of the Juniper Flat White which is now available at your local Starbucks location. It was a celebration of all things holidays with Starbucks, and it always gets me in the spirit to pick up my favourite holiday beverage while out shopping or headed to hang out with a friend on a beautiful snowy day. From the red cup to the holiday gifts I can pick up at my nearest location, there is a lot to smile about this year.
While we got to work on our wreaths, I of course snacked on the snowman cookies which make me think of my niece Rebecca, though if I’m being honest she takes after her Tio Daniel and would prefer the cheese from her local Starbucks when we visit together. Which is fine by me!
From the tumblers to the tree ornaments, the annual Christmas Blend to the gift cards that make great gifts for coworkers or teachers this season, Starbucks has so many items that I associate with the holidays every year.
From the special gifts that Starbucks has sent me this year (see the holiday poem they wrote just for me this year) to the gifts I will be purchasing at my local store, it’s just not the holidays without Starbucks Canada. I can’t wait to sit down with friends and family over the next few weeks in a store wherever I am traveling, or take a walk on a snowy December night sipping a Peppermint Mocha (a special treat I always enjoy at this time of year) and I encourage you to do the same!
I’ve said it before – and I’ll say it again – it’s the little things that can make the biggest difference.
