International Women’s Day is something that really inspires me. Though I cannot know what it’s like to be a woman in this world, especially with everything happening right now, I am inspired by the women in my life who have shaped me. My mother has the most consistent woman in my life and has helped me learn that life isn’t always fair, but that I can persevere no matter what comes my way. Catherine has helped to keep me kind in the face of situations that could have made me an angry and bitter person. She is as close to a sibling as she can be and knows me more than anyone else, and I could never express how much she inspires me to be better everyday. The powerful women of Do The Daniel show me the strength they each offer in this big beautiful world and their ability to navigate their respective lives while bringing their voice to our brand bring a tear to my eye. Let’s of course not forget my niece Rebecca. At three years old, she represents the future and all the possibilities it holds for women around the world. Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors
How do I start to describe the experience of Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors that is currently on exhibit at the AGO in Toronto? One Word: VAST.

An instagramer’s paradise, these mirrored rooms give the illusion of a never-ending depth and infinite reach. Continue reading “Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirrors”
Hanging with Helen
International Women’s Day is March 8th. While I am excited for all the women on the #DoTheDaniel to celebrate in their own ways around the world (follow our Instagram account to see how and go BTS with them), I had to stop and think about how I too wanted to thank each and every woman I could in the world. So when the team at L’Oreal Paris Canada asked me to join them for The 2018 Women of Worth Awards Gala at the King Edward Hotel hosted by award-winning actress Dame Helen Mirren, I jumped at the chance. That does after all sound like one heck of a way to celebrate #IWD2018! Continue reading “Hanging with Helen”
My Latest Binge
It should come as no surprise that I am someone who jumps head first into everything I do. Whether it’s a new fitness ideal, a new business venture, or what I do to unwind after a long day. For the most part it can be said that food & drink used to cut it when it came to unwinding and disconnecting from the day-to-day stresses. But there’s a new binge that I can’t stop enjoying, and it’s time I talk about it. Continue reading “My Latest Binge”
