So let’s talk about the things that make me happy. Travel, obviously, is at the top of my list because the idea of exploring the world makes me feel more connected with it. Cooking, because it is something I’m quite good at and makes me feel grounded, even in the craziest of situations. Love, although let’s be honest, that’s a given by now as you all know. Our dog, because she’s one of the best parts of my life and one of the best decisions we have ever made. My family, because they support me as I work towards goals while reminding me of where I came from. And that’s just to name a few. I think sometimes it’s important to make a list of the things that make you happy because life is full of distractions, trials, and sometimes we can easily forget.
While I am still working out how to combine all of the things I love into one epic food trip where I get to cook for those I love (how fun would that be?!) I was of course inspired by a recent event with ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS Canada alongside Catherine that combined food and travel. So I wanted to share some of my favourite moments, items, and hopefully inspire you just a little bit. We all deserve some inspiration now and again!
I still remember the first event with ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS Canada that I attended. It was 2013 and I was still my husband’s plus one. I hadn’t yet created or started towards #DoTheDaniel. All those years ago I still got as excited as I do today to learn about the brand, the new products, and the way in which they can improve my life. I smiled when I stumbled upon this photo because it reminds me of the things I loved then, and still love now.
Flash forward five years later, Catherine & I are attending a similar event with revolutionary items that I am coveting from one of our favourites. Both her and I have been lucky enough to equip our respective kitchens with some of the best knives, cookware and lifestyle items that we enjoy using on a daily basis.
The photo above conveys how I may have gotten just a little excited over some of the latest releases coming to Canada later this year (or already on shelves) from Ballarini, Tweezerman, Staub and the whole family of ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS Canada brands.
The event itself was themed as a culinary tour around the world, and each country had items (and food) that represented the best of the best. Needless to say I encourage you to follow the #CulinaryWorld & #Zwilling1731 hashtags to see why we were not the only ones who left feeling impressed and excited to get into the kitchen.
I love that as I’ve gotten older I’ve finally realized what is most important to me. I hope that you feel the same way and find yourself picking up items that help make you smile. Whether it be in the kitchen, or for the perfect party host, ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS Canada has the best of the best items to suit your life in our opinion. And you know I don’t use that term lightly!
