The holidays are quickly approaching and it’s time to start thinking about those special occasions with the ones you love. I’ve been in a cocktail mindset lately with an exciting ARTEMANO feature coming soon, but thought that the recipes I was recently introduce to were too good to wait. Our friends at Diageo Canada invited me for a personal holiday cocktail session with Simon Hooper, Diageo Canada’s Reserve Brand Ambassador. Take a look at some of my favourite recipes below that I will be creating this holiday season, and now you can too!
BAILEYS Spiced Yum
1 oz BAILEYS Vanilla Cinnamon (chilled)
½ oz CAPTAIN MORGAN Original Spiced Rum
1 oz Cold coffee
1 tsb Honey
Shake ingredients together and strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick and enjoy.
KETEL ONE Dutch Mule
1.5 oz of KETEL ONE
3 oz Ginger beer
1 tsb Sugar syrup
0.25 oz Lime juice
1 Mint sprig
1 Lime slice
In a glass with ice, add KETEL ONE, sugar syrup and lime juice.
Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with mint sprig and lime slice.
CAPTAIN MORGAN Christmas Mojito
1.5 oz. CAPTAIN MORGAN White Rum
4 oz. Soda Water
½ oz. Lime juice
1 tsb Sugar
10 Mint leaves
Cranberries
Place mint leaves in bottle of glass.
Add CAPTAIN MORGAN White Rum, sugar, lime juice and muddle.
Add crushed ice and top with soda; garnish with mint leaves and cranberries for a mistletoe look.
CÎROC French 76
1 oz. CÎROC Ultra Premium
0.5 oz Lemon juice
0.5 oz. Simple syrup
0.5 oz. Sparkling Wine
Dark grape or your favourite dark berry
Shake first three ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled flute glass.
Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a dark grape.
SMIRNOFF The Mash Up
1.5 oz. SMIRNOFF Raspberry
3 oz. Cranberry juice
1 oz. Orange juice
Fill glass with ice and add SMIRNOFF Raspberry
Top with cranberry juice & orange juice
Garnish with orange slice
GRAND MARNIER Grand Cider
1.5 oz. GRAND MARNIER
Sparkling apple cider
Apple slice and herbs or lemon wheel
Combine GRAND MARNIER and sparkling cider in a chilled glass
Garnish with a lemon wheel or apple slice and your favourite fresh herbs to add a touch of seasonal elegance.
