Lifestyle | The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) last chance to Nominate before September 15th 2014

For those of you who aren’t aware, last year marked the inaugural beginning of The Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA). The Canadian Fashion world took the time to celebrate the talent and accomplishments that our great nation has produced and continues to produce in all areas of Fashion on a National & International scale. This year’s Gala is quickly approaching and is asking for YOUR help to support Canadian Fashion. Come & see how you can be a part of this momentous occasion by helping to support emerging Canadian talent.

On January 31st 2015, the second Annual CAFA awards will honour and celebrate the best that Canada has to offer. Celebrities, stylists and some of the most fashionable people from coast to coast will come together to help support our industry.

“CAFA will be presenting The Emerging Talent Award for Fashion Design as well as The Emerging Talent Award for Accessory Design at our 2nd annual Gala, slated for January 31st, 2015 in Toronto. The last day to nominate yourself or any designers you admire is September 15th! We need your help to raise awareness for this award and encourage people to enter before the deadline is closed.”

I personally believe that Julio Reyes of FASHIONIGHTS should win the Fashion Blogger of the Year Award based on his extensive career in this industry and his dedication to support the growth & prosperity of Canadian Fashion… then again I am a bit bias. But if you agree, make sure to tell CAFA yourself by tweeting the following:

Dear @CAFAwards, I think @fashionights should win The Fashion Blogger of the Year Award. #CAFAstyle #FASHIONIGHTS

Make sure to follow @cafawards on Twitter & Instagram to stay up to date on this amazing Canadian event and voice in the #Fashion Industry.

But let’s not forget how you can help to support the new Emerging Talent in your life, town, city or province.

“Emerging Talent Award winners will each receive a cash prize of $10,000, be provided with valuable mentorship opportunities and professional business services, and gain national and international exposure and recognition.

Applications for self-nomination are available at www.cafawards.ca. Please note that there is no fee associated with self-nomination.

Recognizing both rising and established stars, CAFA remains steadfast in our mandate to generate a stronger appreciation and market for Canadian fashion talent both in Canada, and around the world.”

For a great way to participate in the #CAFAstyle experience, follow along with their monthly style activation. This month is all about the plaid in your life:

“Don’t forget to hashtag #CAFAStyle, #FallingforPlaid and your city! It is really important to hashtag your city as one of the reasons we are doing this campaign is to showcase Canadian style from coast to coast.”

Don’t forget to tweet, instagram and share in your nominations for the Emerging Talent Award with @CAFAwards. Tag @DoTheDaniel so I can support your nominations as well. I hope that your submission makes it to the next level so I can see them on the 31st of January 2015 and congratulate them myself.
