When It’s Not Just Your Kids Returning To School

Transitioning out of August and into September brings thoughts of cool nights and warm, sunny days. The dog days of summer and the refrain of the song synonymous with both the winter holidays and the back to school season. But is it really the most wonderful time of the year? New clothes, books, pencils…the list is endless. In my household, the change in schedules and sleeping patterns wreaks havoc for at least a couple of weeks. And then we have the class schedule drama. Sunshine and Lakes and Wine – Oh My!

Dear British Columbia, you and I have this thing going on. I’m not sure where it’s headed or if our love affair will ever end. You’ll remember that we are a huge fan of the work that this charity does in Canada, so it only made sense that we share how you can join us for this exciting event!  Continue reading “You had me at bubbles & brunch”

The simple things in life

And I’m not going to fuss over food. Why? Because I’ll be stopping by Uncle Smoke Cookhouse for some delicious BBQ and accouterments. Toronto foodies, you need to try for yourself and I’m taking a minute to tell you why!  Continue reading “The simple things in life”
