An event not to miss, every year amid a hectic schedule and what seems to be a never end to do list, I make my way to Scrubs in the City in support of Sick Kids. Taking place on June 6th here in the city of Toronto, the event is set to be yet another successful night which although sold out will surely be quite the adventure to follow along with us to on social media if you aren’t already following us!
While I wish Catherine were in town to attend with me for yet another year, I know that I’ll be seeing some of my favourite people and making tons of new friends along the way as well. One of the biggest charity events of the year, it is always amazing to see what a group of people dedicated to making a difference can do when they put their mind (and wallets!) to it.
This year, Evergreen Brick Works will be transformed into the town that invented carnaval for an evening of fun and fundraising while dancing to the rhythms of Brazil, sipping on caipirinha cocktails, and relaxing on Copacabana beach. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in all things Rio de Janeiro, as the wonders and delights of the city are brought to life with fashion, food, décor, and entertainment.
To date, the annual event has raised more than $5.7 million in support of some of the most critical needs at the hospital.
An exclusive silent auction is available to guests and non-guests alike including luxury one-of-a-kind items such as courtside Raptor’s tickets, numerous luxury hotel stays at Fairmont properties worldwide, and an exclusive stay for two in the Aguacu National Park – home to Brazil’s biggest waterfall and one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
